Vale High School took nine students to Portland Oregon for the Oregon State Leadership & Skills Conference for Skills USA.
Five students competed in Job Interview, six in Automotive Service Technology, one in General Welding, and two in Carpentry.
In total, eight students achieved medals on the state level and one, Morgan White, received the gold medal, qualifying for nationals. The students brought home a total of $54,000 dollars in scholarships!
Morgan White took the Gold Medal in Automotive Service Technology receiving a $15,000 in scholarships to UTI & $8,000 elective scholarship to UTI.
Jay Saunders took the Silver Medal in Automotive Service Technology, receiving a $12,000 scholarship to UTI and $8,000 elective scholarship to UTI.
Austin Amick took 5th place in Automotive Service Technology, receiving a $4,000 scholarship to UTI.
Aidan Schlupe took 6th place in Automotive Service Technology, receiving a $3,000 scholarship to UTI.
Tristan Anderson took the Bronze Medal in the General Welding, receiving a $4,000 scholarship to UTI.
Keaton Kimball took 4th place in Carpentry.
